Drinking it where it originates - Big Brewsky Brewry and Club, Banglore

My recent visit to Banglore for a conference came up with opportunity to connect with college friends. On very first day, I planned to meet Rohin. He picked me from Novotel near Techpark and took me to Big Brewsky Brewry and Club.

It’s a contemporary design microbrewery on Sarjapur road which has an open air poolside seating arrangements and serve brilliant set of snacks. We ordered beer from their own brewery and tried different beers. Most of them were awesome. A huge mug like above ranges from 250-550 Rs.

The place has brilliant ambiance with nice music. Music is usually loud, as expected from places like this. The pool in the middle of this huge area, is well lit and has colourful fishes. There are tables places around this pool and if you want to be more closer, they arrange seatings around the boundary of this pool. Isn’t that cool? The same evening, rain was happening and few of the folks were still enjoying their drinks in the drizzle.

During this visit I got a chance to visit other pubs in Bangalore, including Toit and I would rate this one the best out of what I explored. If you know of any other recommended place, please let us know through comment below. We would love to explore that next time :) . And frankly, I was not able to understand why Toit is so popular. Is it because of locality or something else. When I visited there, there were at least 60 people standing outside and waiting to get in. And as we entered inside, it was already overcrowded. There was not even any place to stand there. Banglore people, help me understand please?

The place was open till 1:30am and they accepted last order till 12am. Overall environment was super awesome and I could feel the difference between places in Delhi vs Bangalore. Staff is super cool and efficient. One person handling 4 tables was able to serve everyone very efficiently. And they understand the needs very well. Interestingly I found them doing much more than what you expect at a regular pub.

I wanted to visit Big Brewsky Brewry and Club again but in 4 days I had multiple things lined up, so couldn’t. But certainly that’s the place I would love to visit next time I am in Bangalore. It’s near to my office, so that makes it even easier choice :). Thanks Rohin, for taking me there and it was nice catching up with you.

If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -

- Manage your waste well and don’t litter
- Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.
- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite
