Muddy water...This is a reservoir of water which has been targeted at the generation of hydroelectric power generation. It diverts the water from River Beas and pours it into the River Satluj.The dam is under Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) and the road built over the dam is a part of NH 21 which takes us to very well known tourist place Manali(Kullu). Water from BEAS river is diverted through tunnels to Salapad (which is around 42 km from here).At Salpad, water is used to generate electricity along with the water of Satluj.A different color of water in Pandoh Dam...The Pandoh Dam is used to generate electric power up to 165 Mega Watt.It 25 kilometers from Mandi Town...
