Some disappointing stories of Bandstand in awesome weather at Mumbai

When in Mumbai, after checking into the Hotel at Sahar we tool taxi to go to Bandstand. The Taxi guys stops the taxi in front of a house on the left and says that we are at Bandstand and the house on the left is Mannat & is owned by Bollywood super star Shahrukh khan. That's how we were introduced to Bandstand. And frankly speaking it was very disappointing for me at first glace :). I didn't expect Shahrukh Khan's house like that. After coming back home I realized the impact of shock I had there, when I found that I didn't click a single photograph of Shahrukh Khan's house. But then I was accompanying more friends who had better exposure to Mumbai and Mumbaivalas. They kept consoling me by saying that having such house in Mumbai is big deal. And on that notes, I started appreciating flats around Bandstand. They looked much better :). Earlier I was not curious about much talked about houses of bollywood stars, but now I was curious where other bollywood stars would be staying. On the way back we also cross Amitabha's house and now I was little appreciate about Shahrukh Khan's sea facing bunglow with a multi-story building. I also saw Rekha's house and that looked little cleaner from outside & better maintained.Let me stop here and share some happy moments spent around Bandstand and what all can be done around this place. Seashore is rocky and slippery, so one has to be careful while going near the water. Not sure it's always like that or only in monsoons. But most likely it's because of high tides during evenings, which is a continuous process.Rain started as we went closer to the water. And frankly speaking I didn't find this a very cool place to hang around. It was quite windy and rains were forcing visitors to head back towards their cars or take a shelter around bus stop. Bandstand is essentially a long walkway along the sea in Bandra region of Mumbai. We walked towards Taj Land's End and then Bandra fort from where Bandra-Worli Sea link is visible.Overall it's a nice walk and the fort region is nice to sit for some time, observe sea waves and the sea link on other side.So this was a quick visit to Bandstand with different kinds of emotions. I would certainly want to visit this place in winters and see it from different perspective.

If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -

- Manage your waste well and don’t litter
- Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.

- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite

....

While talking about houses of Bollywood star's lot of folks were curious these houses so thought of embedding these videos -
